Fall Mini Sessions at the Conway Riverwalk – What to Wear When It’s Still Warm?
Fall is here, and I’m so excited to announce my Fall Mini Sessions at the Conway Riverwalk! 🍂 YAY! It is that time again! This is one of the most beautiful locations in Conway, SC, with the charm of the Waccamaw River, wooden docks, and tree-lined paths. It’s the perfect backdrop for families, couples, and kids who want timeless fall portraits
But here’s the catch…
it’s still 80 degrees in South Carolina! So, how do you dress for fall photos without melting?
Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.
Outfit Tips for Fall Mini Sessions (When It’s Hot!)
1. Focus on Fall Colors
Skip the heavy sweaters and go straight for the color palette. Deep reds, burnt orange, mustard, olive green, cream, and navy look beautiful in photos and instantly say “fall” without the layers.
2. Lightweight Layers for Variety
Bring a denim jacket, a thin cardigan, or a lightweight scarf you can throw on for a few shots. They’ll give you that cozy fall look while keeping you comfortable.
3. Choose Breathable Fabrics
Cotton, linen, or light knits work great. For women, think flowy dresses, skirts, or jumpsuits in autumn shades. For men, go with a button-down or henley in a fall tone.
4. Kids’ Outfits Made Easy
Keep it simple with cotton dresses, rompers, or shorts in earthy colors. Add a cute bow, suspenders, or boots to tie in the fall look without making them too warm.
5. Use Accessories to Set the Mood
Wide-brim hats, ankle boots, and gold-toned jewelry can pull together a fall look without heavy clothing. These little details add so much to your photos!
Why? The Conway Riverwalk when we have the beach?
I know what you’re thinking—“We live by the beach… shouldn’t we do our photos there?” And yes, the beach is beautiful (and always a favorite of mine too), but the Conway Riverwalk has a totally different charm that makes fall photos magical:
